GenZ: Youth Interruptedseeks to understand the generation of youth born at the turn of the 21st century. This cohort happens to be coming of age in the aftermath of two watershed events – first, the 2016 US presidential election, which created a highly polarized and an increasingly politically aware citizenry in America, and second a global pandemic that thwarted life as we knew it and interrupted our youth’s emergence as they take their initial steps into the reality of a new order. It seems to me that Generation Z is being asked to take responsibility for our world in an unprecedented way, and that they are rising to the task.
